Environmental guidance for your business in Northern Ireland & Scotland

August 2017 Blog

We have been extremely busy at NetRegs over the past few weeks, working on a number of exciting new projects and new developments to the website.

You will find two new GPPs (Guidance for Pollution Prevention) on our website:

We have just received our new iPad for video production and we are hoping to produce more video case studies. If you interested in featuring your business in one of our videos then please get in touch. In the meantime, don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel where you will find lots of interesting case studies on good environmental practice, and interviews with businesses that have gone above and beyond compliance!

If you haven’t already seen it, we recently produced a new Duty of Care leaflet – ‘Dealing with Your Business Waste’. As a business you have a legal responsibility to ensure that you produce, transport and dispose of your business waste without harming the environment.

Over the past few months we have been working closely with eCom Scotland to develop and improve our E-Learning tools. These are free to use and cover the essentials of five topics; Duty of Care for Waste, Sinks, Drains and Sewers, Renewable Energy, Guide to Pollution Prevention and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment. We are very excited to be adding CPD accreditation to these in the near future for your professional development, so watch this space!

Finally, don’t forget to that the closing date for Stage 2 of the Climate-KIC Accelerator at the Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation is fast approaching. This is an excellent opportunity for you to receive funding of up to 20,000 euros to kick start your new business venture. The deadline for this is the 25th August so don’t forget to get your application in!
